Race day weather deteriorated as the morning progressed.  As they say "from bad to worse . . . really worse."  Temperatures dropped from the 60's to the low 50's, with gale-like wind for the poor finishers still struggling to come in.  Not nice for anyone -- participants, volunteers, staff.  Kudos to all for being so strong.

The awards ceremony were cancelled.  Neil Semmel, race director, will have
an announcement on his site regarding the distribution of event awards.

If you did not finish and did not return your timing band,

Participants are financially responsible for the loss/return fee.  Yes, we
scan in all returned bands for proper return credit.  Note:  The ankle timing bands were meant to be worn around the ankle and not around the wrist.  Bands worn on the wrist cannot be guaranteed to be read by the ground receiver mats.  We noted several racers wore them on their wrists . . .we tried to advise them during the transitions.  Instructions were printed on the packet pick up envelope.
