       Lums Pond State Park, Delaware    September 16, 2006

Well the air temperature (mid 70's and no wind) was "user friendly" but what about the forecast for no rain?  Well it was a slow steady misting shower.  Just enough to rain on your parade.  The duathletes handled it "no problem."  But for the Special Olympians during their timed bike loops, we all wish it could have been a bit better for them.  But by the looks and enthusiasm displayed on their faces they did just fine.  Kudos to each and everyone of them.  All winners.
A most excellent logistics job by First State Velo.  What a great post race food buffet . . . and a very
big thank you to all the athletes who also biked, one on one, with each Special Olympics
competitor during their event. 
Giving back to the sport in such a very special way.

If you picked up your entry packet for  the event, but did not participate or finish, you are still financially responsible for the return of the WinningTime chip & ankle timing band. 
The loss/replacement fee is $25. 
  
 Yes, all returned bands are scanned for proper return credit of all assigned timing bands.
